On the one hand, "Beautiful Creatures" is a movie (based on a novel) about a family of good and evil witches that stars Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, and Jeremy Irons -- a promising plot/cast matchup, indeed. On the other hand, when's the last time Jeremy Irons made a good movie? That and one of the evil witches is played by Emmy Rossum. So really it's anyone's guess whether or not this movie will be worth seeing when it hits theaters on Valentine's Day weekend next year.
